In 1992, he and his wife Diane, started California Hunter Magazine. After four years of growing the publication and developing many friends in the hunting community, the economic reality of producing a regional hunting magazine forced the publication to cease. Four years later the desire to continue to communicate to hunters brought about the beginning of WesternHunter.com, an Internet based hunting information service focused on the western states.
