| Here's a picture of a tule elk I took on August 13, 2005, in California. I shot him at 30 yards with a Matthews Q2XL bow. The elk didn't know what hit him and traveled only eight yards before falling over dead. He is a 7x7 that will score in the low 300s. Thanks to the California Bowmen Hunters (CBH) and the California Fish & Game for increasing archery elk hunting opportunities in California. Submitted by Ed Fanchin |
