Arizona Kaibab Fee May Increase
The Arizona Game and Fish Commission approved a notice of proposed rule-making during its September meeting to increase the Kaibab hunt user fee from $5 to $15 and to implement the new Unit 12A Deer Habitat Management stamp that will be required for all north Kaibab deer hunters in the future.

The proposed rule-making will:

Rename the current "Kaibab North Special Deer Hunting Permit" and change it to the "Unit 12A (North Kaibab) Deer Habitat Management Stamp."

Increase the Kaibab hunt fee from $5 to $15.

Remove the permit and fee from the "Administrative Fees" category and place it under "Stamps and Special Use Permit Fees" category.

The rule-making notice has been filed with the secretary of state and was published in the Arizona Administrative Register on October 3. The proposed rule-making is scheduled before the Game and Fish Commission for final approval in January 2004."
