The results for California's Big Game Draw are now available to the public on the Department of Fish and Game's (DFG) website at http://itbpxy01.dfg.ca.gov/biggame/index.html. Hunters can learn what geographical area they have been selected for by providing their last name, and either their assigned DFG number or their California driver's license number.
Successful applicants will be notified by mail, sent out by the Department's License and Revenue Branch (LRB). DFG's Big Game Hunting license analyst Kristine Fakunding said 91,856 hunters applied in the Big Game Drawing for deer, antelope, elk or bighorn sheep. For deer hunts, DFG issued 16,428 tags for the 47,703 applications received. For antelope hunts, there were 247 tags issued for the 14,470 applications received. For elk hunts, there were 258 tags issued for the 21,739 applications received. For bighorn sheep hunts, there were nine tags issued for the 7,944 applications received. This is the third year that hunters can access the information online from their own computers. |
