The San Gabriel Valley Chapter of Quail Unlimited will hold a rattlesnake Avoidance Clinic for dogs at Sierra Madre Dog Park in Sierra Madre. California. It is important to remember that rattlesnakes are found throughout the United States and the last thing any of us want is to be surprised by one along a hiking trail, in the grass, or worse in our own yard. If a rattlesnake should cross your path, you'll want your dog to alert you without danger to either you or your pet. The Snake Avoidance Clinic will be conducted by Robert Kettle. Kettle is a professional snake handler from Nevada who is widely acknowledged as a leading expert in Snake Avoidance Training. He has conducted clinics for the Nevada Fish & Game, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, and has been approved by the California Department of Fish & Game. Here is the date and location: Saturday May 3 & Sunday May 4, 2003 Cost: $55.00 per Dog ($50 for second dog, SGVQU members, and QU members). The training sessions will be done by appointment only! Register early, space is limited and we will sell out! Please contact Chuck Miller (626) 355-3832 for additional information or reservations.
