Early Season Blacktail Trophy |
||||||||||||||
What a way to start the 2002 California A zone archery season! Jan Perry took this great blacktail buck in Sonoma County on opening weekend.
The buck's 3x3 rack was 20 inches high and 20 inches wide with 5-inch bases. Perry had climbed a tree and was standing on its limbs when she shot the buck at 7 p.m. The deer dropped where he stood. The work came afterwards as it took three hours to get him to the truck. The 53-yard shot was done with a Renegade bow, Beman camo arrow, and Gametracker two-blade broadhead. |
