Two-Tone Deer
I recently came across your site, and saw the picture of the two-tone deer. The question about the deer has probably already been answered. I live in western Washington state and I have personally seen that doe and several other blacktails in Washington with that same color. We call them pintos or piebalds. Last year while scouting in the DOTY hills near Pell, Washington, I came across three bucks standing together that were like that. I know several people who have killed similar bucks. The area biologist told them that it was something to do with pigmentation in the skin. Keep up the good work nice site, Shedhunter06 |
