| I took this buck during the California G-3 Goodale hunt in December 2001. I was a little disappointed as we had planned to hunt 3-5 days, but it lasted only one. We looked at so many bucks we lost count. My hunting buddy and I estimated at least 25, maybe 40. Most of the bucks were in the 18- to 22-inch range with an occasional 24-inch. We came across this one right at dusk and I didn't want to pass him up! It was 27 1/2 inches wide, 6x4 plus 3 1/2 inch eyeguards.
