Entering or Crossing Private Land
Question:
I'm new to the state. What are the laws concerning entering or crossing private land to hunt or fish?

Answer:
Good question, and in all instances you must have permission from the landowner. Unlike some states, in Wyoming private land does not have to be posted to prevent access. Even if it is not posted, a hunter or angler must have permission to enter private land. That includes just crossing private land to reach public land or entering private land while trailing a wounded animal.
