and Another Chance |

A few issues ago we announced a chance to win a bull tule elk hunt through the Arroyo Grande Sportsmen's Club. The drawing was held on August 15 and here are the winners:
Bull elk hunt: Dean Padgett of Arroyo Grande, CA A total of 390 tickets were sold. The vast majority of the tickets were sold in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties so it's not surprising that most of the winners were from the local area. You Can Never Have Too Many Guns! Here is another chance to add a new hunting rifle to your gun safe. The Central California Friends of the NRA will be holding an NRA Endowment raffle on October 12, 2001. The winner will receive a brand new Remington Model 700 BDL in stainless steel with a synthetic stock and a detachable magazine chambered in 300 Weatherby. Attached to it will be a Nikon 3-9x40 scope in matching matte silver finish. If purchased at a gun store this setup would cost almost $1000 out the door. Only 100 tickets are available at $20 each. As a bonus, each person who contributes $100 will receive, in addition to the five chances on the rifle, one chance to win a 1999 Yamaha Big Bear 4x4 all terrain vehicle including a flatbed trailer. All of the profits from the rifle drawing will be sent to the NRA Endowment. Contributing to the endowment now will help to ensure that future generations of gun owners will have the resources with which to carry on the fight to maintain our rights. The endowment will also provide for youth education and marksmanship programs, hunter safety programs, wildlife conservation programs, etc. To enter the drawing, send a check made out to "NRA Foundation" to the following address: If anyone has questions about the drawing they can contact David Morgan at (805)-937-1074. |
