The new Remington® EtronX Rifle System |

The look and feel of the new Remington® EtronX Rifle System is the same as the Model 700, but the technology is the most advanced ever. While the bolt stroke, balance, aesthetics and ergonomics of the EtronX are just like the synthetic-stocked, stainless steel fluted Model 700, the electronic ignition system delivers near-zero lock time to aid in better accuracy.
The EtronX system utilizes patented technology to electronically discharge the round, resulting in nearly instant ignition. A standard 9-volt battery easily accessible in the stock sends current through a special contact in the bolt face and to the specially designed electronic primer. There are no moving parts to delay ignition. The new electronic trigger mechanism on the EtronX rifle breaks crisp and clean, offers significantly less travel than the standard Model 700 trigger and eliminates all creep. The result is benchrest performance in a production rifle. While the EtronX system is the most advanced ignition system available, it remains user-friendly with a light emitting diode (LED) located on top of the grip. System status (FIRE or SAFE mode), chamber status (loaded or not loaded), low-battery indicator and malfunction indicators all relay vital information to the shooter with just a glance. The 26-inch heavy, 416-grade stainless steel barrel is fluted to help dissipate the heat from repetitive shooting while maintaining rigidity. An aircraft-grade aluminum-bedding block runs the entire length of the stainless steel receiver. Remington's Model 700 EtronX features a composite stock of fiberglass and graphite reinforced with DuPont® Kevlar® for added strength. Initial offerings in the exciting EtronX are .220 Swift, .22-250 Remington and .243 Win. |
